HOW IS YOUR DIET? Just like physical health, our spiritual health is determined by what we "eat" on a daily basis. We believe that a healthy diet of the Word of God, good teaching, testimonies of God's love and power, personal prophecies etc. will keep our hearts and minds focussed on Him and His Kingdom rather than our circumstances. There is a lot of "food" out there, and we need discernment to know what is for us and for Japan. We have been particulary blessed by the people at Bethel Church, Redding California. ONFIRE ENGLISH BLOG COMING EVENTS ENGLISH BOOKS AVAILABLE IN JAPAN LINKS WELCOME TO ONFIRE JAPAN. We have had so many contacts from English speakers recently I think it best to explain ourselves! Eventually we will have a fully functional website in English. In the meantime please allow us to introduce ourselves and summarize the vision and purpose of Onfire Japan. Our priority is ministering to the Japanese, in the Japanese language, as there is so much encouragement already available in English. We introduce some links below, if you are interested. WHO ARE WE? Onfire Japan is the work and ministry of a community of Christian believers in Nishinomiya city, Japan. Our heart and desire is to see the Kingdom of God manifest in Japan, and through the Japanese to the nations of the world. The main people involved in Onfire Japan currently are: Jef & Aya Linscott, originally YWAM, now connected with their local fellowship, supported by friends and community so they can dedicate their time and efforts to the purposes of the Kingdom. Aya is heading up much of the print translation as well as developing a deliverance prayer ministry for Japanese along the lines of the Sozo ministry of Carol Dew (Dewnamis Ministries) and Bethel Church. Shoji Narahara helps put the audio voice-overs on many of the messages and is also very involved in establishing and spreading the vision of Healing Rooms throughout Japan. Many others also support Onfire spiritually and financially to see this ministry possible. It has been a wonderful blessing to us to hear from Japanese people all over the world whose lives have been changed and challenged by the simple encouragements through the translations of books or messages. WHAT DO WE DO? We realised that, as English speakers, we are blessed with an abundance of teaching and testimonies to feed ourselves on daily. However, there is a severe lack of good Kingdom teaching and testimonies in the Japanese language. As we were personally impacted by various teaching and encouragement in English, we felt God challenging us to provide the same encouragements in Japanese. Onfire Japan seeks to translate teaching and testimonies into Japanese to stir the fires of revival in Japan. Currently, our main activities are: - Print publishing (2 books so far!) - Message translation (overdubbing English messages in Japanese) - Event, team, seminar, conference, camp planning. - Network and relationship building. PUBLISHING Many of the English speakers in our community were deeply impacted by the book When Heaven Invades Earth, by Bill Johnson. In January 2007 we published the book in Japanese. In January 2008 we published our second book, The Supernatural Ways of Royalty by Kris Vallotton. Response to both these books has been amazing, and we have been so blessed to hear the testimonies from all over the world from people who have read either or both these books. Although we have all benefitted from messages and teaching from many different sources and streams, possibly the one that has most impacted us is Bethel Church, Redding California. EVENTS, TEAMS, SEMINARS, CONFERENCES and CAMPS Books and online translations are great, but nothing beats meeting people in the flesh, worshipping together, eating and enjoying fellowship and encouraging one another. In the last three years we have hosted over 6 visits from overseas, with dozens of meetings at numerous churches. Our desire is not just to come bring in anointed people and have them "perform"... but rather equip the Japanese believers "for the work of the ministry." We are always looking for better and more effective ways of doing this, and networking within the body of Christ.
